What big data means to computer security industry?

We are in the era of big data.  What big data means to us?   Especially, as a security professional, what big data means to me?

Big data platform ( with Hadoop, NoSQL and the like)  provides a cost effective distributed computing   infrastructure.

As such, the following 3 problems make big data relevant to security:
(a)  Data security for big data:  First of all,  big data is data literally.  However, to handle large volume of data and for data streams on a distributed computing environment,  one needs to re-evaluate the traditional data security technologies.
(b)  Security  for Big Data Framework:   There are needs to protect Hadoop, NoSQL and etc.  for their vulnerabilities.  It is like to handle security issues for various OS.
(c) Big data analytics  for  security intelligence:  it  may be a powerful approach to fight against APT.
